Titan America is constructing a new 70,000-ton dome at its existing Roanoke Cement Co. import terminal located in Chesapeake, Va., to meet growing demand for its products in the Mid-Atlantic region.
The $37 million investment will add to the existing 35,000-ton bulk storage at the site, expand truck and rail capabilities, and allow Titan America to continue expanding its offerings of low carbon cements. Additionally, the improved terminal will have the capability to import and distribute raw materials such as fly ash, slag and aggregates.
The investment in Titan’s Virginia terminal comes on the heels of a similar investment in a 70,000-ton dome currently under construction at Titan’s import terminal in Tampa, Fla.

The dome and associated expansion projects are slated for completion in 2023.
